Good friend of mine got wrecked in January 14 finally found the old pics. Pretty cool pictures. At 45 mph front collision the car did its job.

Ya, Picture 3 looks like no airbags deployed, unless its just the lighting. Although sounds like he's alright though. What's up with people already getting into wrecks.

I like to kick off my shoes after I'm wrecked too

But yeah, looks brutal, but obviously the driver survived. Glad I have mine now!

That was exactly what went through my head "where the **** did the wheel go!?" but yeah... I think I see a hint of white on the steering wheel from the side view. The airbags in these new Kias deflate immediately after the crash. They've got a hole in them so you can push them back down immediately. My misses got in an accident on new years and thanks to this hole, she was able to push the bag out of the way and see to steer away from a wall she was headed towards.

Passenger compartment is still in tact...that is a mean hit...45 sounds about right, anything above that would have rippled the roof...wonder what the sunroof would do in a harder hit.

I was curious if you had any pictures of the steering wheel with the airbag blown. I'm interested in where the seam breaks along, just wondering about that hard plastic KIA emblem in the middle and if it flaps up and away so it doesn't hit you in the face.

The doors able to open says a lot after an impact like that. Makes me feel better about the car now.
