Hello, I didn’t see anything related to CarPlay or AA here.
Has anyone attempted to install a wireless carplay adapter like this one to our systems?(U2W Plus) Carlinkit 4.0 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto 2 in 1 Adapte
I think it's weird. you guys don’t use CarPlay? Direct Bluetooth connection? The Bluetooth connection didn't allow me to use my Google Maps on screen, which I found inconvenient .

I have two 2017’s and we use the USB port in the front of the console for gps from phones but my daughter uses the Bluetooth for music, if I remember correctly I had to set up CarPlay on my phone and sync it with the car and do that whole authorize the device thing but not sure, I think there was something weird about streaming maps and stuff via Bluetooth, maybe they thought we would play videos or games and be distracted driving lol

The 2014 Cadenza does not have CarPlay compatibility built in. So the adapters won't work and even using the USB port in front CarPlay doesn't work. But Sorento and other models of the same year have CarPlay compatibilty built in. I don't know what KIA was thinking. Their luxury car has less features in the radio than their lesser models.

Yeah, Us 2014-2016 owners are out of luck. Our headunit is based off of Windows CE - which never had (or ever will have) Android Auto or Car Play compatibility. In 2017, they switched the infotainment software to Android based (which was already switched over on other models), and the compatibility came with it. We'll never see native support for 14-16s.
