Thinking about buying a 2016 Cadenza. I'm confused with the trims. Everything on google says Base,Premium, Limited are the available trims but all the ones for sale close to me are called Premium or Tech. What is what? Please educate me.

There are three trim levels basically on the 14-16 models

Premium, which is the base without the sunroof, lcd instrument cluster, or safety features or nappa leather,

From there there are two trim packages tech package, which includes all of the safety systems and 19" wheels, and there is the luxury package, which has the LCD instrument cluster, pano sunroof and nappa leather, you can get both packages and this is where things get kind of weird, through the first year of the cadenza in the us you get both packages and add a special free add-on for white nappa leather, this is essentially the limited or sxl package, which in the beginning of the 2014 models was just that both packages with white nappa leather, in the latter half of 2014 and through the 2016 model years there is an SXL package that includes the tech and luxury packages with different wheels and badging along with a USB port in the back seat and I believe a 360 camera, but I'm not positive on the last one

I think wettexk got it right. I've always found that I can never trust a used dealer's description when it comes to trim levels - they always seem to be off in one aspect or another. Best to look at them in person. Since you mentioned you are looking at '16s, here's some more resources to help determine what options were out then:

Click around on this site and you can see what features were on what packages, as well as options and original MSRPs at the time.

Thank you. After looking at a few and reading what I have found on here I understand a bit more but there are still confusing conflicts. Maybe trims are different in Canada but every level has the analog clock and I've seen some with the digital speedometer but no lane assist or adaptive cruise. Some fully loaded with nappa but missing the 360° view. And there is always an empty button on the bottom left by the shifter, what goes there? Also the silver trim on the memory seats is not on any up here.

Yeah, Kia messed with the trim combos a lot the first 2 years, so some of the things you mentioned weren't offered at the beginning of the 14 model, or not until the 15 ie. The 360 camera and metal trim on the memory seats, and the luxury package includes the nappa and lcd instrument cluster, while the tech included the 19" wheels and all of the safety and convienence systems....kind of strange on some things I know
