Hey everyone. I've been doing little updates on my car over the past few months, and now want to replace the panels around my locks. I remember seeing somewhere on this forum where someone had replaced his dark grey panels for dark grey wood-grain panels like the detail is in the car. I have the same dark grey color and would like to do this. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can order these? Talked with my KIA shop and they were unaware of any upgrades. Thanks in advance.

I think I remember what you are talking about, I believe it is a Korean part you had to order from some specific import. I think there was also 2 different versions with placement/number of screw holes. If I keep my car I was going to look into the wood panels for mine as well, jazz up that area because I feel it is lacking as well.

I replaced mine and the parts were ordered right from KIA parts at the dealership.
You find a cadenza with the wood grain panels, Then get the vin #. Ask parts to
order replacements for that car. I got mine that way. The one thing to watch for.
Make sure the car with the vin# you use has the rear seat heaters or not depending
on your car.
Sorry wood grain didn't show good in the picture.

Wasn't that quite the involved install process though? I thought you had to take off the whole panel, disconnect switches, blah blah blah. May be more than I could (or more properly, should) handle. Also, do you remember how much those were if you don't mind me asking.

I think the ears were only about 40.00 but the fronts were about $60.00 something.
Yes the entire door panel has to come off switches unplugged. forget if it was 11 or 13 screws
just to get the panel out.
First one took me about 2 hours the rest just under 1 hour.

Thank you Gene. That is exactly what I was looking for. I have some time coming up to tackle this job. I'll order them at my next service appointment. Thanks everyone. Looked online and found a few Kia Optima videos to replace the door panel. Hopefully it will be similar. Any how-tos that you've seen?
