Hey does anyone have a fix for this? My sound system settings reset each time I start the car. Surround sound goes back off and my bass/mid/treb default to a different settings as well. Ty in advance.

Firsts 3 things that comes to my mind:

• Check for the PDI fuse or switch and make sure it's in the "on" position (Located in the driver's fuse pannel)
• Check for a bad fuse behind the unit or in the fuse pannel (maybe)
• Check for a faulty connection between the memory perm 12v wire and battery voltage
I wonder if those settings are maintained in the Memory seat buttons, I know the brightness of the LCD is saved per driver...could be something like that too..
I had this happen for a while in my car too. There is a small reset switch somewhere on the radio that you can depress with a pin or paperclip. Holding that in (I honestly can't remember if it's just press it, hold it for 5 sec, or hold it for 10/20sec) will show that it is resetting and that it may take a few minutes. When mine was messing it up did this my whole trip (about 10 minutes or so) and when I got back in it was all good. You may want to try this first as it is a bit easier than looking for fuses or messing with wiring.
Ty! Will will give it a go.

Absolutely, I completely forgot about the reset button.
Mine happened with my phone being connected to bluetooth and it would start randomly calling people and start changing radio stations on its on. They replace the whole double din but problem still came back. Turns out the pin connectors were burned.

On my '15 K900, I was having occasional and similar things happen including a complete lock up of my cd player; took it to KIA dealer and they found a new audio update/fix for my exact problems. I think the fix was released in May; they did the update and all my issues are fixed.

Don't know if it could apply to the Cadenza, but I'd sure ask. My factory warranty covered it at no cost.

Mine always happened when I was playing a cd; it would suddenly stop playing and just revert to factory presets which was back to 87.5 A.M. channel. I'd have to reset stations, settings, just as you describe. On the K900 there is not a reset pinhole; I do remember that reset hole from my '14 Cadenza but I never used it.

Good luck; ask your dealer about any such fix for the Cadenza.
I have a current problem where my speed dependent volume setting will not stay "off". I've brought my vehicle to the dealership multiple times but they can't seem to fix the issue. I'm going to try the reset hole as this is the first time I've heard of it

that's a definite software glitch and your dealer should have the update; they fixed that with a new release about 2 years ago. had the same problems on my 2014 Cadenza; there was another issue it corrected with the radio but I forget what it is now. the dealer fixed mine with the corrected software update and should NOT charge anything as this was a very common issue. escalate this with your dealers; good luck.
