How do they categorize the levels of tint---percentage? What is a reasonable charge for that? Thanks, good pics.
tint is measured by % and the number is how much light is let through...

hence

20% tintt, means that 20% of the light will be let through

full car shouldnt cost you more than $200

the best way to figure out what tint you should be using is to first check with your local tint laws just to make sure if you want to go with a dark tint that you're not going with something too dark that it's illegal.
Unfortunately front side windows is illegal to tint in NJ...no restrictions for back windows though

this is true... all states have their regulations...
I think what it really comes down to is knowing how much of a pain in the *** the police are in your area.
I know how you feel. I owned a car with mesh wheels and it was just a PITA to clean. Best thing to do is to find a good wheel cleaner that wont damage the finish and there will be minimal need for elbow grease!

Here you go. Tint laws for every state.

Tint Laws
That site was sold in 2013 and it seems that the new owner failed to update it regularly, so many listings are inaccurate... check out windowtintlaws.org - nowadays it´s probably better resource .. regarding up-to-date tint laws.
(I am sorry to bump an old thread.. but it seems topical.)
Please note if you have a dark interior the tint will appear darker than the sample when applied to all windows of the car. For this reason I went light on the sides and medium on the back window.

I ended up going 20% all around, and 50% on the whole windshield.

I have the black interior, and so far the only comment from local PD has been "**** that is a sick car"... :)

I thought Corsa Blue on the Optima was my favorite color but Smokey Blue has won me over as the best color KIA has come out with so far. Looks great!
