I like this feature which allows the seat to move back automatically when the engine stops, and then returns to the last used position when the car is started. Looking at the settings menu for this feature, I noticed there are three options: off, normal ( which mine has been set for ), and enhanced. Does anyone know what the enhanced setting is supposed to do? Changing to it makes no difference; seat moves back automatically and returns automatically just as it does when set to normal. I don't believe it has any connection to the separate seat memory function set on the door control and neither does my dealer.

Owner's manual makes no mention of an enhanced choice; and, my dealer service department and my salesman have no idea; their in house features books also make no mention of it.

Any ideas?

thanks for the replies; I thought that would be it also. however, it doesn't move back any farther than when set in normal.

maybe it has a sensor for the size of the butt in the seat and moves back accordingly?

if it starts moving back farther I'll know to knock off the nightly ice cream!

yes, I'm 6'2"...but, in either setting seat goes back to same spot and stops; then I can still move it back about another 6 inches with the seat lever...maybe it's back as far as it should be as that extra 6 inches sort of puts the seat right next to the pillar. so, still don't see what enhanced does..another KIA mystery?

good suggestion, but, don't think so. when it returns to last used, I can press the preset memory settings and seat then moves to the memory setting...

it's a puzzlement!

Does it make the steering wheel move out of your way too? As opposed to just the seat.?. Not Sure.

The steering wheel movement is controlled under a separate setting. I just went through the manual, and it does not talk about what enhanced does at all. All the manual says is:

Seat Easy Access (if equipped)
If this item is checked, the driver’s
seat will automatically move forward
or rearward for the driver to enter or
exit the vehicle comfortably.

Hi Yooshaw, where can one find the steering wheel to allow easy exit? (aka move up and into the dash when turning off vehicle?)
