love this advice... it's like telling someone when using a Qtip that when you feel pressure and resistance, stop..lolUse a little force, but be careful. If you think something is breaking, stop.
Bought 6000k to match my led fogs. The stock hid 4300 aren't cutting itUse a little force, but be careful. If you think something is breaking, stop.
Try the owners/repair manual.
Why are you removing it tho?
LOL I know. I tried pulling on the bracket/clip and it feels like the whole socket is moving. Why does it have to be so annoying....love this advice... it's like telling someone when using a Qtip that when you feel pressure and resistance, stop..lol

I actually got my stock HID Lights replaced with 6000k about a 3 weeks ago and it looks a million times better and matches the LED perfectly!!!, stupid stock 4300ks lol. I have a friend who works at the KIA Dealership as a mechanic so he did the replacement for me. This is what he said he had to do.......Bought 6000k to match my led fogs. HA! I know right, they could of made it easier to remove the clip. My friend did it by himself so I'm sure you can do it. He scraped the chrome housing on the OEM Bulbs prying the clip off so he was in there pretty good lol Let us know how it goes and I hope you don't break anything while your doing it.Sounds like you need 3 hands to do this. LOL. I went to dealer today for my 1st service and asked if can replace them and they said no because they are responsible if anything goes wrong!! I'm like...Really? It's a freakin light bulb. Whatever. I will give this another go tomorrow.
Oh WOW!!!! That's crazy! That is exactly how he said he removed it. It was very similar he said when he replaced his and his friends new Kia optima headlights. Sorry you didn't get them replaced, I would be very frustrated as well. Let me ping him again and see what he says.I tried the passenger side this morning. Unscrewed the coolant tank and got me much more room and yet still cant get the clip off. I squeezed the 2 ends and nothing. I pushed on the clip and nothing. I can see that it loops around the back so I assume squeezing and pushing on the clip to unhook it from the back. But still nothing. I give up!!!!!!
Thanks.. I had a full hand on it from the passenger side because I removed the coolant tank (2 screws). And I still couldn't pop the dang clip off. If there is anyone in the general area that can do this please let me know. I'll drive a little to meet up.Oh WOW!!!! That's crazy! That is exactly how he said he removed it. I just changed these out last weekend. I had the same trouble with the clips. Tore up my hands trying to squeeze them in. I finally got them off when i realized i had to release some of the tension on the back of the clip.Thanks.. Try it slowly, but be careful not to break it.I know you twist off the waterproof cap and then there's a metal clip that holds the D1S lamp in but I can't seem to loosen it. I started on the drivers side because it was eay to get to. Any ideas? Do I just yank the crap out of the bracket? Help a fellow Cadenza owner out. I'm sorry.... K7 owner. I no longer have Cadenza on my arse! HeeHee. Thanks!!!
