Removed Center rear headrest...different car

I had a funny clicking noise in the back for the longest time, thought it was the hot tamale the kids dropped in the seat, but that didn't get rid of the noise, then I had a container of spare bulbs Velcro'ed to the top of the sub box in the trunk, thought maybe that was it, left it home, still heard the noise. Then last night I added a little foam pads to the pass through door to the trunk, that thing seems like it could be a little clicker too. Anyway, discovered the clip holding the center headrest back there was a little noisy, just figured I'd pull the whole thing out. I'll be damned if I can see everything behind me now! I think the stereo even sounds a little clearer without the obstruction to the back deck. I think only about 3 times has anyone ever actually sat in the center seat...why didn't I think of this sooner. :laugh

Thanks Madmax! I had the same clicking noise. I thought it was the power sunshade. I removed center headrest and clicking noise is gone. :)
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the click sound is gone on mine too. When you have it all the way down the thing doesn't lock. If you pull it up some it locks into place, have to engage the button to remove or lower...but in that lower position is when it made the most noticeable noise when I was fidgeting with it. Of course out it was the most quiet. That said, again, the stereo actually does sound a lot clearer...the lows from back there are defined, not muffled or broken down..i swear it's not a allusion.

I just removed the whole back seat to stop the noises :p
A few weeks ago I removed all three head rests back there, too. Didn't notice if any clicking stopped but I can sure see a lot better!
