Do it!
Adam, that's a heck of a deal; definitely do it. I've enjoyed my Cadenza immensely; your purchase price is excellent. By the way, I use Keffer Kia in Mooresville and the service advisor I use ( Justin S. ) is awesome to work with; some of the dealers in Concord and Charlotte are not so great; there is a good one across the line in SC I think.Hey everyone!!!,
I've been snooping around the forum for a few months getting some Cadenza owner info. I had initially had my heart set on a pre owned E350, but after checking out my colleagues new Sorento SX V6, I took a look at Cadenzas (which I completely forgot about since I rarely see any), and fell in love.
My intention was to wait out a pre owned 2015 SXL (blue w/grey interior), but I fell into a awesome deal. I was visiting a friend out of town this weekend and stopped by a Kia dealer behind the mall I was at with the goal of checking out the metallic bronze color which I also kind of like. They didn't have one, so I asked about pre-owneds. The sale lady told me they had a 2014 SXL, blue with a grey interior at the dealer across town. I was like.....O..M...G!!!!
2014 Kia Cadenza LIMITED Asheville NC 11632795
They brought it over me to check it out. I was immaculate, certified, and only 19k miles for 27K on sale for 25K. Its a late build 2014 because it has passenger ventilated seats. Before I checked to carfax another salesman told me it was leased from this dealership and serviced there. I was turned in early because the owner got a K900.
After some negotiations we agreed on 23,700. I usually don't make rash decisions, but I don't think I can pass this up. I like the little changes to the 2015's like the around view camera and the extra chrome in the interior, but that's not enough more me to let this go. I read about the passenger seat issue, but that wont be problem, because I always get my mother to make me bottom cushions for my seats.
This was all yesterday, I been ruminating over this all day today. I told them I'd call Monday morning with a decision. She even gave me her personal number to call her early to get it off the lot. What do y'all think?
I'm basically in Gaston Co., and I work in Hickory most days, so I'll probably use Paramount Kia in Hickory since its in the same company as the purchasing dealer.Adam, that's a heck of a deal; definitely do it. Who were you thinking of for your service dealer?
Good luck!
No issues; have owned two years as of last October but only have 5,000 miles ( retired with two cars ). No other car in the price range has the options, style, and quality. Just a great car!Have you had any issues so far?
I agree! 20% all around and a 50% on the whole windshield.Low mileage, a CPO, a LIMITED, a great color (I have that exact one)....GET IT!
Can't tell if the Windows have been tinted as much as they can be though.
I'm no advocate of tinting windows by ANY MEANS, however, this car is the only exception I've made. Mine came tinted....just gives it a much better upscale mysterious look.
People are already like...."what the heck kind of car is that???...I can't even see inside"
K5OptimaStore can hook you up, give David or Paul a shout! Here are some pictures from this morning. The window were tinted, which was great for me because I didn't have to do it. They aren't crazy dark which I like. I went the swap out the badges. Who is a good vendor for quality ones?
He lit me up, and yeah, work did just help me buy the 2500, but they moved me into a management role, and were like "You can sell the truck if you want, we appreciate your flexibility when we requested you get one"...Scynthyace didn't they just help you pay for that truck? Lol. And when you say stopped by an officer do you mean just while walking or did he light you up to look at it? Either way, nice. I had an older guy stop in the road and honk at me to get my attention and roll my window down to talk to me about my car before in traffic, that was interesting. He said he was looking into getting 1 and was wondering how I felt about it.
I was planning on trading my Optima Hybrid for the Cadenza but I passed go and went directly into the k900 .I love driving it, my wife loves being the passenger in it and its a real pleasure to drive but it is a big car and it is thirsty .I've had a couple minor issues, a snapped ABS Line ($374), a faulty rain sensor (covered) and a TSB (check if yours falls under it, its somewhere on the forum), other than that, she purrs at 90-95 and loves to accelerate!
My favorite car so far, I am test driving a K900 in a couple days... considering trading my truck now that I've switched jobs...![]()
