My old man and a very handy neighbor tired installing the kit today on my parent's Cadenza and could not for the life of them get the last bolt to thread.
I bet it does make a difference, but it seems like a hit and miss product.
would like to ask anyone who has installed the 1 1/2 inch riser kit for the passenger seat if they feel it makes any noticeable improvement in the seat height. thanks in advance for any replies.
thats why you go to a local shop and have them make some metal fittings for you for half the cost. just show them what you want and they'll make itMy old man and a very handy neighbor tired installing the kit today on my parent's Cadenza and could not for the life of them get the last bolt to thread.

I believe that it's recommended to only very lightly install each of the bolts before tightening any one of them down.My old man and a very handy neighbor tired installing the kit today on my parent's Cadenza and could not for the life of them get the last bolt to thread.

Just responded to your PM. I think this can make a huge difference. Just read some of the many 5 stars reviews on the site from owners who have installed this on their Cadenza.would like to ask anyone who has installed the 1 1/2 inch riser kit for the passenger seat if they feel it makes any noticeable improvement in the seat height. thanks in advance for any replies.
Yeah it does seem to be slightly tricky to install for some, but others are able to get it installed in no time at all. If anyone has questions about the install, they can definitely reach out for assistance. My old man and a very handy neighbor tired installing the kit today on my parent's Cadenza and could not for the life of them get the last bolt to thread.

Yes this is correct. Another Cadenza forum member posted in a thread here on the site with some tips on getting this kit installed.I believe that it's recommended to only very lightly install each of the bolts before tightening any one of them down.
While this is a valid concern, the manufacturer of this product put together this kit using grade 10 bolts (stock bolts are grade 8 I believe) and the seat risers are made from steel. So the chances of something going wrong in an accident with this kit, are not very likely. I guess anythings possible, however I'm pretty confident in the quality of this product. My only problem with this is the potential safety concern with something failing. I can't imagine if a bolt ever sheered, broke, or just plain failed during an accident. The repercussions could be astronomical.
We chose not to take this product on because, frankly, we don't have the insurance to back it up.
Very happy to hear you got the kit installed and are enjoying it.Well, the old man finally got it installed today. It was a tricky install as you need everything to align perfectly.
My mother is raving about it. She is probably 5-2 and it was a major downer for her as she could barely see over the dash with the standard set up.
This is probably the only "mod" they are going to make. K5, how are you guys coming on the emblems? I ordered the 7 piece kit for my Cadenza late August and have yet to see it.
Thank you for your order with us!thanks to those sharing their thoughts on this post; have ordered the kit from K5 Optima and will hopefully install without too much difficulty. good tips have been provided by other members and I appreciate them! will post an opinion on height improvement after install.
