Hello Everyone

I am getting pretty serious about picking up a new 2014 Cadenza. I just wanted to check here and see if there is anything I am missing in my research. Firstly, does everyone here recommend the Cadenza? I've read a ton of reviews, and I own a Hyundai Genesis Coupe so I am somewhat familiar with the brand. As far as I'm concerned there doesn't seem to be a better bang for the buck option out there. Secondly, while researching prices here in SW Ohio I've noticed quite a few New 2014 models around $26k to $30k, well below MSRP. Am I missing something? Why would they be that discounted already? I appreciate the responses and I hope to be a part of the Cadenza family soon!

It is a great car, I recommend it to anyone that loves luxury cars. As far as the price, they might be trying to get rid of them before the 2015 models come in.
Hi; I just my SXL on Thursday. Traded In a 2014 Equus. Now, the Cadenza does not ride as well as an Equus but it was $18000 less (sticker price) Where I live they charge property tax on cars every year.. Equus= 1925.00 Cadenza =1145.00 So I test rode the Cadenza and It was great. They have a lot of rebates and If you lease you can get an SXL for $400 a month with no money down....Nothing !! (they even rolled the sales tax and new plates Into the $400. Be aware they do not have daytime running lights and the nav system uses an 'SD' card not hard drive. It does have a small drive somewhere and I was able to download about 200 mp3's It might take more but that all I put on the first day. It rides well and Is very comfortable. I looked a 2015 Genesis, but with the same equipment It was $48000 and no rebates or deals. Good luck

Welcome to the Cadenza forum.

Best of luck with your new car buying experience.

I love my car a ton except that it was pre October '13 built so I don't have the passenger cooled seat... but as I never sit there not a huge deal, just would've been kinda nice. I think the prices are low on these because they are getting ready for the '15s as well as the plain old fact that these things just aren't moving (volume). For whatever reason people just aren't buying them. I think the main cause of this is the sticker price. I went in to look at an Optima and saw how nice these were but thought they would be too expensive, but the lease on the Cadenza was way better than the Optima. I also think people have a hard time thinking of Kia (and Hyundai for that matter) as having a "luxury" car. Most people in that area want more of a "name brand" car and a snoots in some way or another, a few people even in this forum will admit to being that way before this car. I will tell you there are a few things you may find after ownership for a while that you wouldn't find in a "true" luxury car, but Kia is working hard at it. I have had no problems with my car and hope not to ever have any. Go through the forums here and read, should give you some good info from people who have owned theirs for a while. 1 guy has a nightmare of a car, nothing but issues, but he is the only person I've heard of like that. You can probably get a really good deal on 1 of these (as if they weren't already) right now. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

I appreciate all the responses. It's all valuable info and I'm glad everyone is liking the car. I figured the prices were low because of '15s coming and the fact that they aren't flying off the lots. What a shame that people don't consider Kia and/or Hyundai for that matter totally "there" yet. Oh well, better deals for us I suppose. Thanks again.
I've had my black Cadenza for 1.5 months now and am thrilled every day when I walk out of the house knowing I get to spend three hours commuting to work and back. It's a nice ride, really. The interior is silent and solid. Also, I machine detail my own cars and the black finish of the Cadenza takes a detailing job very nicely. Clay, Polish, Seal then Carnauba wax give the paint a very deep wet looking finish. Kia does a good job with their paint. You can show it off nicely.

I considered others like Infinity Q50, Nissan Maxima, New Chevy Impala. I have no regrets and highly recommend the Cadenza!

Kia and dealers are trying to sell off the 2014 cadenza to make way for the 2015. I don't think the 2014 limited will sell to good after the 2015 is out.
No major differences but I understand there will be an 8 way power passenger seat, rear cross traffic warning, may include DRLs, some updates to electronics. surround view on the rear camera system. you can see all the way around the car. The big differences will be in the limited.
There should be some really good deals on the 2014s
I have a 2014 Cadenza which I have had for 2 months and I love it., I traded in a 2012 EX Optima which I also loved.

I agree with this, I think the small changes are not that big to make the difference to get a 15 instead of 14 model.

It would appear that for the 15 Cadenza with the upgrades you listed, that they are slowly moving into the K900 market as all of those features you mentioned are included standard on my 15 K900.

I didn't know you had a Cadenza, that's awesome!
I almost wish I had a longer commute as the car is so comfortable and fun to drive. My commute is only 15 minutes so it hardly gets warmed up. I'm looking forward to another road trip soon.
