New Kia Cadenza, have had it for about a month, just over 1000 miles on the odometer... Got back in town from first family road trip... awesome handling on highway, great gas mileage and got a few laughs from the "wait thats not an optima, whats that" stares and rubber necking...
But after a post-highway wash and dry I got a fuel gauge that read EMPTY (tank was actually 3/4 full), flashing gas light / icon and service engine light...
I ran a scan of ODBII and it gave me two codes for
P0463 - "Fuel level sensor A circuit high input"
I googled but saw nothing about common issues / problems with Cadenza or Kias in general with this error code. after making it back home safely, I turned engine off and back on twice... after third try the fuel gauge was behaving properly but the engine light was still on, so I cleared the error code and engine light went off. I drove it around the subdivision (about 4 or 5 miles) and the problem didnt occur again (yet).
Any of this sound familiar or do you have any idea what it could be?
If it happens again, I'll drop it off at dealership and get the K900 I almost got as a loaner... but WAY to early in the life of the car to have issues like this.
