MP3 album art

I've had a '14 Sorento and now have the '14 Cadenza Premium, both which seem to have the same premium Infinity/ Nav. system (the Cadenza having a large outboard amp). On the Sorento, when you played an USB stick thru the USB port, you would see the album art as the songs played. When you copied a song off the USB stick to My Music (harddrive in the radio system), the song would play from My Music while showing album art. Now my new '14 Cadenza would do the exact same thing when I first got the vehicle. After about 3 weeks, the Cadenza will no longer show album art while playing the USB stick, nor will it load to My Music showing album art. Has anyone else used this feature ? Kia doesn't seem to believe me that these systems will do this. I asked them "Don't you have an expert for your Infinity systems in house". I ask you guys to try this on your systems and let me know what happens.
Another problem I've notice is on sound setup/ advance you are suppose to
be able to turn OFF auto volume control, you can't, auto control is always on, turning volume up as speed increases, turning volume volume down as speed decreases. Kia agrees that that is a problem they are working on a fix. Let Kia hear if you have these problems, and are not happy that your top of the line Kia does this. Strength in numbers. I had similar issue with album art. I did not move any music to the hard drive so not sure this will completely correct your issue...I downloaded AV Album Art Fixer and scanned all my USB music. The software was able to locate the correct album art for nearly every song (650+). The software then embeds the art into the mp3 file and allows it to be displayed properly. Album Art Fixer - Software Informer. It scans your albums of your windows media library for any errors in album art.. Again, not sure your issue is exactly the same, just trying to help.

It shows for some tracks on mine...I think it depends on mp3's content itself if it contains art or not. Or you are saying that the same mp3 you played before is not showing art anymore?

That's right, Aloukienko. The same USB stick that use to show album art when you played USB, and also loaded music + album art into My Music will no longer do either.

Actually it's not good...very lousy soft...can't detect properly current drives even...I found the best would be BLISS but it wants money after 100 fixes...So I end up by using Mp3tag...very good soft...the down side it's not automatically fix your tags - you need to choose which one and what to insert...however it search amazon.com for album art and you could select any existing one and select all files to replace in one shot
aloukienko, thanks for the MP3tag tip. I'll give it a try. Bob

Actually Bob, I fixed all of my album artwork with MP3tag yesterday...took 3 hours though..as I have 3000 songs ;)...tip for you - you could select all songs in album, then search image in internet browser and drug that image to left/lower spot for album artwork in MP3tag...press Ctrl+S to save new art. Also sometimes only 1 song has artwork in album - then cut it, select all file in album and paste - Ctrl+S to save.
Now all of them show perfectly. Let us know if it resolves yours.

Aloukienko, you the man ! Being unfamiliar with some of the "tagging" process, I was hard at first. But with you providing the last step, MP3tag is a great program for adding album art to songs and you can also make a slide show to scroll across your screen while you drive. Cool !:confused::D
My car wont even play music from a USB stick, is there a size limit? I used a 32GB Usb Stick and made sure everything was MP3

Make sure your USB stick is formatted in FAT32 not NTFS.

Just thought I'd share this "find" with the board.

Tiny 16GB USB stick, easy to grab onto, only $9.00, works like a charm, album art and all.
