I have a 2014 with panoramic sunroof, the mesh part that’s raises up when the sunroof opens came completely disconnected from the car, not the mechanical arms, but from what I assume is an adhesive type thing has “worn out”, happened on the highway and scared the crap out of me.

my dealership is 2 weeks out for appointments, wonder if I could clean it and try reattaching with silicone or just wait.

it’s not the motor so don’t think it’ll be covered under my warranty…anyone else have this issue?

Sorry to hear about your issue with the mesh wind blocker. I do not have experience with this issue so I'll wait to see if someone else has any advice.

Don't have the issue, but below is what the service manual has on replacing the deflector. From what it looks like, the mesh part is held in place with a bar? Hard to tell from picture, but seems like the bar slides out to release the deflector.
