Lack of throttle response, no acceleration

My wife had an incident with our 2017 Cadenza yesterday. The car would leave a stop sign but only accelerate to a point, then no faster. She nursed it home and when I got home and checked it out the condition had corrected itself. I cannot give any information on tachometer reading, gear position or even speed as she did not observe any of these items. Has anyone here had this problem? The car has 57,000 miles on it. My first guess is a MAF sensor (Mass Airflow sensor).

3000 left on warrantee, take it in get them pull codes, run diagnostics. As stated, this definitely sounds like a form of limp mode coming on to protect the car from additional failure.
