I've got a 2014 Kia Cadenza. I leased it from NJ and now live in Cali.

Recently, the car has been driving a bit off. I figured it might be due for an alignment so I took it to service.

Service Visit 1

Mentioned the vibrating at low and high speeds and was told "California Roads". We can't do much about it.

Service Visit 2
Again, mentioned that the vibration was getting worse. I insisted they try to see if it needs an alignment.
I was told that the car did indeed need an alignment.

Service Visit 3
After the alignment, it got WORSE. I was told that they needed to inspect the Tire further.

I'm still on service visit 3, they've had my Cadenza for 15+ days now.
They first stated that I needed to purchase tires as they were worn. (The tires have tread but I said okay lets order 2 tires for $600)

THEN, they said my front RIM is bent and that I need to purchase a new one. The retail is 989$ but they can give me a "deal" for 500.

I told them to stop everything and I called Cadenza Consumer Affairs line.

I now have a supervisor looking into this but was told "not much they can do with wheels & tires".

I'm attempting to return the lease with no luck, can ANYONE help me in my current situation? Its a leased vehicle and I don't want to spend almost 1200 for a car I will not be buying.

I too have experienced terrible service from the Kia dealership. No loaners, even when the car was practically undrivable (Wheel Speed Sensor). They wanted me to pay for a new one and installation and blamed it on rodents chewing up the wire even though it was clearly the tire that went through the wire.

Also, I paid $600 for 4 new tires with better ratings than the stock hancook optimo's. It sounds like you were getting taken for a ride. I was also quoted $900+ for a rim when I got the car when they were trying to sell me the tire and wheel protection package, I basically laughed in their face as you can get much nicer and better rims for less than half of that.

Never bringing the car back to the dealer again. And after I turn it in, I'm not going back to that dealer again either.

So to update everyone, I was able to get Kia Consumer Affairs to finally call me back. They agreed to pay for the 1 rim and I took the car to a different dealership.

1) Arrived at the dealership to drop off the car

2)As I was signing paperwork, a service rep backed into my Cadenza with another customers Optima. (They are now going to have to replace my bumper).

At this point I've got a rental for who knows how long. Just waiting to get my car back.
