I got a call a month ago from the dealership I got my 2014 Cadenza from saying they have a program and are looking for people with Cadenzas who want to turn their lease in early and get a deal on a new lease. I have gotten these calls before when I have had other cars, even my Optimas, and assumed they were B.S. and ignored them and I ignored this message, too.
A week ago I get another call from the same person telling me the same thing but she also mentioned they could get me into a newer Cadenza at the same price I currently pay or lower. Now...I have a 2014 SXL and I got it for a little bit less that my salesperson did, or so he said at the time. For the record, I pay $400 a month for this lease which I thing is a great deal.

I decided to call her back and see if this is real or not and to make sure she was aware I had an SXL at $400. I asked her, 'Do you know what trim I have and what I am paying monthly before you offer me a newer model at the same price or less?" She starts shuffling some papers and confirms I have the SXL at $400. I then told her I don't want a 2016 Cadenza as I am waiting for the 2017's to come out. She then tells me she can get me into a 2017 SXL at the same price, they really want some 2014's to get returned. She called me back a day later to tell me the 2017's aren't coming out for a few more months, closer to the end of the year, and she will make sure to call me as soon as they are getting them in.

So, what's anyones thought on this? Scam? No deal, just trying to get me in to get a new lease? She did say at the same or lower price and I confirmed that is what she said. I told her I live 40 miles from the dealership and I would be pretty upset to drive all the way there for something else besides what she is saying. She confirmed the deal, said the really need some 2014's.

Just be careful and look over all the papers if you do this. Some dealerships give you a great offer, then when you get there things change.
that deal is for a base model, But they can get you into the model you want, for a few dollars more.
Sounds like a good deal if every thing stays on the up and up

I got this same offer via email from my selling dealer this week. I have 7 months left on my lease, 2014 SXL with only 10.8k miles on it. After I responded with the explanation that I need to get back to one car and would not lease a replacement, I did not hear from them again. So much for we need 2014's. I think it might be a good deal if you want a new car.

I get stuff like this often from several dealers in the area telling me they will do this, that, and the other to get me into 1 of their cars, I usually just throw them away. Though the issue with my leather is making me mad I'll probably still buy my car after lease. I know I'll be "losing" money (or at least upside down for a while) on the car but I love it and I know that it's been taken care of and serviced properly. I would like to eventually not have a car payment and this will be under warranty the entire time + AT LEAST 2 yrs after I pay it off.
