So, explain to me why KIA is killing this car! I was at my dealer on Monday, I know a few of the people there. They love my 2015 Smokey Blue Cadenza and the way I always keep it looking clean and looking showroom brand new. Wanted to check out the 2016 differences, they explained that KIA added a base model and changed the package / standard options, but, the car itself is the same. NOW for the big problem, KIA for the 2016 CADENZA....
has only 3 colors to choose from. White,Silver, Black. that is it, no smokey blue or bronze or gray. To me, even less choices to pick from and for buyers to choose a KIA Cadenza. WHY!!!! Kill this car.

I remember seeing that on the Kia website, is that for all trims of the car? I don't really care for the muted tones of "premium" cars. Where are the nice blues and reds? And yes, I thought it was interesting that there was a new "Base" trim as well.

Platinum Graphite is available on the Premium.

KIA seems to be favoring only the colors that do well in surveys. When I think luxury sedan, I think a pearl black/white and a silver. I don't think Luxury sedan in Red, or Blue. I think Sports car in Arrest Me Red or Carjack Me Cyan.

Personally, if I were to buy another KIA, it would be the K900, and it has the same color choices in 2016 as the Cadenza.

If I were to look at a "sportier" car, I'd look at the Optima or Genesis Coupe, which have a sportier look, and colors.

What I would love to see in the Cadenza or K900 would be a brown like the Equus... That would be gorgeous, and that's what I am thinking about wrapping my Cadenza in.

K900 for 2016, no Formal Blue (gone). Manhattan Brown offered for the 2016 Hyundai Genesis. Stop with the I "think" this should be a Luxury Color only mentality ( white, black , silver), as a former exclusive Mercedes -Benz owner you can purchase any color E class ( which equates to a KIA CADENZA) and an S Class ( top of the line ) MBZ you can get any combos of color exterior and interior.
I am told this is the final year for the current CADENZA, colors /trim will be limited, if KIA brings it back to the USA, it will a REFRESHED STYLE AND NEW COLORS FOR 2017. The question is with current sales in the USA States, will they bring the CADENZA back in 2017!

Like I said, I don't think red or blue when I see this car, or the K900. Mercedes has a much larger production ability and while you can get it in any color, if you look at their sales figures by color, the top sellers are black, silver and white. Just like with 95% of other car manufacturers.

But numbers speak louder than colors... so here are their sales figures for the Cadenza. It's a joke here in the US and its mainly because the KIA name.

You place the same vehicle under any other badge and it sells like hotcakes.

Ya, I like my metallic bronze. And I think they will keep the Cadenza here. It isn't meant to be a volume seller. It is a strategic player in the Kia slow game to wedge its foot into the more upscale market like Hyundai has done (or is currently setting in motion).

I agree they'll keep it here, but they need to move it under a new division like Hyundai is doing. Unfortunately the "KIA" name here has been tarnished by years of unreliable "cheap" cars.

They've changed their game, but every time I tell someone the K7 is a KIA... they all go... "What? THAT'S A KIA?!"

It's all perception, and sadly for KIA its still struggling to climb out of the negative light.

I love responses like this, honestly that's one of the reason I first bought my Optima. People couldn't believe KIA made this car, same goes for the K7 and K900

KIA should be happy about the people like us buying these Cadenza's and modding them to be even better. It's people like us who grab the attention of the people who see these awesome cars and ask about them. We are bringing KIA back into the game, although slowly. I only see KIA Optima commercials for the three dealers around here and people aren't figuring out there is a luxury car in the brand.

Well, as a former MBZ ( E Claas / S Class ) only buyer, my next car would have been a K900 in Formal Blue with Beige interior, however this color combo is not available any more. So, maybe leaving KIA! after my CADENZA.

NEVER Paint a car like that a different color. then the original, you will never sell it in the future for any kind of money, not to mention trying to get the paperwork changed, sorry, NOT a smart move in my opinion.

You may be correct if he was going to repaint a CADENZA, however, he said he was going to repaint a K900 a different color then the original factory color. At that point, you may be correct again, the K900 may not be worth anything in the future, but being rare, all original would be better when it comes time to sell. Just my two cents.

I tend to keep my vehicles until they die. The Cadenza was my first new car since 1999 when I bought a suburban, and even then the truck was fine, it just was too big for what I needed.
