I've yet to figure it out. I jacked the rear under something that appeared solid and it bent slightly. I quickly stopped and resorted to jacking one side at a time near the factory standard jack points.
Yeah, I saw that hook in the back and was too worried about jacking the car up from there.I've yet to figure it out. I jacked the rear under something that appeared solid and it bent slightly. I quickly stopped and resorted to jacking one side at a time near the factory standard jack points.
Yeah, by the teeth. I can't remember specifically, but I found a spot along the rail near the teeth that worked, and placed my jack stand at the factory lift point. It was a pain!Yeah, I saw that hook in the back and was too worried about jacking the car up from there.
The factory jack points are by the wheels right? Where the "teeth" are on the metal? I just don't feel comfortable jacking the car up from something so narrow. How did it work for you? Any chance the jack might slip off?
I was just looking under the car. Looks like behind the teeth ( front tires) towards the body has a strong double weld. Same for the rear tires except in front of the teeth again towards the body.Yeah, by the teeth. I'm going to need to get one of those hockey puck things so I don't bend the metal.
If you don't mind me asking, where's the factory lift point?
Gotacha, I'm going to get some slotted and padded jack stands so I don't mess up that jack point.By factory lift point, I meant the area at the "teeth" where you put the temporary jack.
