Interior festoon bulb sizes

What size festoon bulbs fit in the dome light, trunk light and vanity light?

The KIA manual doesn't specify a size, just that they're festoon bulbs.

I bought dome, map, trunk, glove box and license plate bulbs from superbrightleds.com...of those bought, only the license plate and map lights were the correct style bulbs. The trunk light style was correct, but it was way too long...I think it was 37mm long.

I decided to pull out the stock festoon bulb from my trunk as I left that unmounted since it was such a PITA to get out to begin with. according to my tape measure, it's 3cm, or 30mm.

I'll pull out the vanity bulb & dome light bulb tomorrow to measure them as well.

the dome light bulb from the vehicle finder on superbrightleds.com was way off. it says the dome light uses a BA9 bulb..although to be fair, several other sites say the same thing..
k5optimastore has LED replacements for all the lights in the car, maybe they have specs on that page?

I want to say the Cadenza lighting festoons are 31mm. We do have a kit on the website but sizes arent listed. It's been awhile since we measured those specs up, I'll have to go back and look again

Took out the vanity bulb and the dome light bulb to measure them. The dome light is 30mm while the vanity bulb is 35mm.

I ended up blowing a fuse when installing 1 of the dome lights on Saturday afternoon. I'll need to try changing out the fuse before working in the morning... I absolutely HATE festoon bulbs...

when pulling the old bulb out, I must of pushed on the clip that holds the bulb in place too hard as it now lost some of its tension. hopefully I can go in there with a pair of pliers and compress is some so it'll hold the new LED bulb tighter...

good luck! A good trick when installing LEDs are to unplug the battery to prevent any fuses being blown

Even turning off the dome lights switch for the doors is OK. But If you accidentally bump them on or leave them on when installing its super easy to short a fuse.

Those festoons are such a tight fit and boom pop.

Also, I'll shamelessly plug K5OS tag lights, I burned out 5 amazon bulbs in the tag light positions (overheating leading to flickering failure) before I bought the K5OS, though I confess my interior bulbs are still Amazon ones, they are never on long enough to heat up much.

yeah, I definitely switch the door lights from auto to off when changing out the interior bulbs. I probably hit the override button inside the dome light housing itself because I remember a small spark when installing the new LED festoon bulbs and then boom, no interior lights when I was testing them out.

I pulled the blown fuse out today (the 2016 cadenza fuse panel inside the car is laid out nicely and the diagram is nicely printed on the cover, which is a plus)...of course it's a low profile mini fuse...the style the store doesn't have where I was at. :(
There are a few spare fuses under the hood fuse box I believe. Just look on the map for a blank of the appropriate size.
