The other day I pulled the right sensor cover behind the mirror off and was surprised that there was room and wiring for 2 sensors underneath, but only one sensor was installed. It doesn't look like the 2nd one has been removed (there's no sign of adhesive where it is supposed to be mounted), it just looks like it wasn't ever installed.

Does anyone actually have a humidity sensor installed under the vented section of the right sensor cover?

one sensor

My early 2014, driver seat only cooling, has one humidity sensor and the rain sensor. My 2014 has the luxury and the tech packages

Thanks for looking. Are your cars the later 2014 with the dual ventilated seats? Mines one of the earlier ones. Maybe the sensor wasn't used in the early models.

Thanks for checking everyone. Looked again and there is absolutely no sign that anything was ever attached to the windshield in that position. I guess Kia left it off and since my car's out of warranty, there's nothing I can do but replace it myself. Maybe I can find a used one at a salvage yard somewhere.

I wouldn't bother, I don't think I've ever seen it work. The owners manual says if it operates, a light will come on in the dash. Never seen it turn on.

Do you get foggy windshield often? That's the only time I would consider adding it.
