How Do You Keep The Air Off?

1990 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Beezwax
We live in Fl. and have only had the car a couple of months. Haven't had too many opportunities to open the windows until recently. Say the outdoor temp is 70 and the AC set to off, it will still come on if the temp control is set for anything under 70. Today it was cool and I wanted heat so set I the temp at 68. I thought the heat was on but after pulling into the garage I noticed a trail of water drips I believe from AC. What do you have to do to keep the AC off?

I could be wrong but I believe as long as the 'AUTO' and 'A/C' lights are off it shouldn't turn on the the A/C.
make sure you turn the recirculating air button off also... but anytime the A/C light is on, the compressor is working.
