Hey everyone, I have had my cadenza for a little over a year and I just now have a low beam headlight out. Wondering how to get the bulb out to replace it, I got the dust cover off just have to get the metal hosting around the bulb off and cant. Any suggestions or easier ways to do this?

If its between 2014-2016 it should be an H7 bulb which is pretty much plug and replace. You take off the dust cover, twist the bulb adapter assembly in the headlight counter clockwise pull the bulb out and replace and reverse the process. It's really simple.

If it's the HID's, I actually took the headlight housing out. But to do that I had to remove the bumper cover. There may be other ways of just hanging the bumper, but to get the housing out you had to remove the upper bumper cover, so just dropping it seemed better, less chance of stressing the plastic somewhere and having a fitment issue later.

For me I was replacing both sides, wanted newer better HID bulbs, so perhaps to get to one side might be easier without removing the housing. But inside there was a bracket holding the HID bulb that you just couldn't get any tools on while it was on the car. Once out on a bench it became pretty standard, but a small challenge if you've never dealt with brackets like these, in that you have to learn as you go.

Updated the link above, posting here too:

Since I have an extra projector out of the car, thought it would be worthwhile to show how to get the D1S HID bulb out while it's in the car.

Some pics of the bulb retention clip.

You can see that the clip is held on with tension

You have to press down on the top tab in order to overcome the tab in the rear

1. Using a screwdriver, relieve tension on one side of the clip by bending up on the top tab

I found it easiest that once you have the screwdriver under the tab, twist the screwdriver. You are trying to get that tab higher, so you have more clearance to press down on the clip to get the clip free of the back tab.

2. Once you've moved the tab some, push down on the corner of the retention clip with your thumb, while using the screwdriver to pry the rear of clip away from the rear tab. Don't be afraid to push down with your thumb, it takes some force.

If you can't get it off, try bending the tab (step 1) some more

Once off it's easy to slide out the other side.

Hope this helps somebody, wish Kia had provided some directions in the manual.

How did you get the bumper off? I can't find anything anywhere on how to do that. I know a little about cars but I am not trying to mess anything up

It is the xenon bulbs so it has a metal bracket around the bulb that keeps it in place. That metal bracket is a b**** to get off. I'm willing to take the bumper off now just so I can have a headlight back.
