Same happened to me and we noticed that sound became louder in HD quality
HD radio question
Anybody with experience with HD radio? After picking my Cadenza up a couple weeks ago, I was listening to a ball game on a local sports only radio station. The audio was terrific when the HD light was on but the signal came and went frequently. The same thing happens repeatedly even in different locations from my first experience. Is it common for this to happen or is this unusual?

This is the reason I am not a big fan of HD Radio.
While the audio is significantly better, it cuts in and out frequently. That is more annoying than ANYTHING else.

HD Radio requires a stronger signal than standard radio eventhough its still line of sight
