I just received my HID kit and learned I will need the H7 adapter but I also learned that there is a dust cover to seal off the light housing.

How are people fitting the HID kits through the dust cover? Any advice on this modification.

Might have to drill a 1 inch hole, shouldn't have to worry about dirt as most kits comes with a rubber grommet

Yes, you'll need to drill a hole in the cover. In addition, I had to aim the headlights higher to get better results. All in all, I find my car with factory HIDS is much brighter than the 35w 6000k kit.

The installation process is very straightforward. Most customer drill a small hole to run the wires through as mentioned above.

It definitely depends on the kit you use. Cheaper knock off kits tend to be less bright but the over all effect of an HID kit should be brighter than any standard halogen bulb
