I have had a shitty time with the KIA dealers around Austin. I called and talked to someone at all three and even spent an hour at South Point KIA with no luck earlier this month.
The salesman at South Point is a guy who used to work at the same place with me so I figured that's gotta be some good luck, he actually recognized me and then we started talking about work and sure enough, we worked at the same place for a while. He ran some numbers for a 2017 tech package and came back with a lease price of $458/month or so, I was ready to pull the trigger at that price. Problem was there were none around yet. Two were on the way to north Texas but they would have to get them down here to Austin and I was told that would be a few weeks, mid March, before they even got into Texas. He also mentioned the 'tax special' that was going on now was about to expire and prices would change. I went back to KIA.com a few days later and checked the price and it was at $414 for a Tech so I called and asked why didn't I get that price. I don't recall the reason but it wasn't possible, it didn't include something or another but whatevs, I couldn't get that price. I also didn't get an answer if I could order the exact one I wanted and wait for it to get here.
So a few weeks later I am looking on KIA trying to see if there are any in Texas (random zips) yet and nope, none around. But the price for the tech went up to $679!!!!! And it's still that high now. My lease ends June 6th so I gotta have something late May already lined up. So they had a price of $414 in Early March but I couldn't even get a Tech or Limited but once they start getting here the price is stupid high. Look now, you should see some tech and limiteds out there.
I called Capital KIA and talked to them and they were going to call me if a white/black tech shows up anywhere or a white/white SXL but at the prices they are now, heck no. I emailed two people at Southwest KIA in Round Rock and asked for the same colors and still haven't heard from them. There is a white/white tech 120 miles from me but the price is still out of this world.
Unless some super fly deal shows up in 6-8 weeks I already have a car lined up. I put an order in for an Octane Red 2017 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack with Dynamics Package ACN [20x9.5 rims (looks like the H3ll Cat rims and brakes), Pirelli 275/40ZR20 tires, Brembo 6 piston brakes], Leather with alcantara (like suede) Perf Seat package GQ/-X9 (heated, vented front seats, heated rear, seat/mirror memory, tilt down mirrors in reverse, heated steering wheel, blind spot detection, heated mirrors), Driver Confidence package AJV (courtesy lamps on mirrors, HID projection lamps, parksense rear park assist, cross path traffic detection), Tech Group package ADG (advanced brake assist, rain sensitive wipers, full speed forward collision warning plus, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning system). And more, I didn't type up everything on these options.
I listed all these option because it's pretty much every thing the Cadenza SXL has with these packages added on. On top of that, it has the 6.4L V8 HEMI with 485HP and 475TQ!!!
The price on the order sheet shows MSRP $47,130 and FWP (invoice) $44,991. After the rebates and cash back stuff he estimated the monthly lease price at $475. I know it's an estimate but there is no way it will jump any where near the Cadenza price. Plus I didn't even have to put a deposit down or have them run a credit check so if I don't want it when it gets here I'm free to walk away.
I don't think I will walk away, though. The car pic included, from Google, is with the stock wheels and tires.
H3ll Cat wheels and tires are this:
