I just sold my Cadenza last week. It was Aurora Black Pearl with the White Leather Package. I had it wet sanded to get rid of the rippling of the clear coat then sealed it with 5 Star Shine which made it look like it was wet all the time creating a deep clear reflection. Just added splash guards which finished it off perfectly. I gave the pictures to the new owner.

This car has been out for like 9 weeks... You sold it already?
I only had it five weeks. It is a great car I have nothing but praise for the car for the price. John, one of the main posters on this forum brought it up in a post that KIA for him and many other veterans means Killed in Action and recommended that the automaker change it's name. I couldn't believe that I didn't put that together before, as I too am a veteran. Once that "bell" was rung I couldn't unring it so I sold the car since I spend a lot of my time at functions where many other veterans meet.

I never by the extended warranty but for some reason I did this time which helped me sell the car fast and at almost the same price I paid for it. Now the new owner has 10 years vice the 5 years a second owner would normally have on the drive train and he has 10 years or 100,000 miles on all the parts except tires, bulbs, battery and a few other normal wear and tear items that are not covered. So I was able to sell the car as better than new since it looked better than when I bought it and the warranty was better.

I actually sold it while I was filling up with fuel. Someone ask what it was and as they say the rest is history.

Starkemann,

I am so sorry that my words were so potent that you made the decision that you did.

I immediately posted responding to your concern in a rather lengthy message on the original post elsewhere in the forum.

You did what you thought proper whether I or anyone else agrees that it was valid.
I respect you, your service to our country, and certainly your right to do what you feel is the right thing to do.

I salute you, sir!

Very respectfully,

John

Thank you for your post and I did see your response to my post under the other thread. To me it was about awareness. Until you said something it just never occurred to me how I was making some people feel. As I explained in my original post, changing the badges didn't really work for me because when people ask me who makes the car I would have to give them the name of the manufacturer.

It is a great car and I enjoyed it just as I did the Optima SXL, but it is just that a car. Thankfully there are several other choices of cars to chose from that will not bring negative thoughts to my friends at the functions I frequent with other veterans.

Thanks again for the enlightenment.
black looks amazing and I love how the top LED strip wraps around the signal lights rather than just going straight across the top. This way it helps create a unique look for a unique car.

Did you wet sand your car yourself or did you pay someone to do it? If you paid someone would it be possible to tell me how much it cost? I would love to have my car done.

Thanks in advance for the information,

Guy
I had it done professionally the cost was $500.00. Every car I buy that is the first thing I do. I normally get it back within two to three days which gives me time to read the manual. It doesn't matter how good the wax you use is, if there are any ripples or orange peel in the clear coat you may be able to get a really good shine but never a great shine. When the surface is smooth you can get deep color and a mirror like reflection. The car's finish was like the finish on a Rolls Royce is was like glass.

I really like it but I think it doesn't improve look that great on White color I have....as I polished the same day dark gray car and white one and its a huge difference...
Black and gray color will look awesome.... I'll do it on Quoris as I want it in black
Love the color of this car, I had to get an Optima with the same color. Many people comment on it.
