I only had it five weeks. It is a great car I have nothing but praise for the car for the price. John, one of the main posters on this forum brought it up in a post that KIA for him and many other veterans means Killed in Action and recommended that the automaker change it's name. I couldn't believe that I didn't put that together before, as I too am a veteran. Once that "bell" was rung I couldn't unring it so I sold the car since I spend a lot of my time at functions where many other veterans meet.
I never by the extended warranty but for some reason I did this time which helped me sell the car fast and at almost the same price I paid for it. Now the new owner has 10 years vice the 5 years a second owner would normally have on the drive train and he has 10 years or 100,000 miles on all the parts except tires, bulbs, battery and a few other normal wear and tear items that are not covered. So I was able to sell the car as better than new since it looked better than when I bought it and the warranty was better.
I actually sold it while I was filling up with fuel. Someone ask what it was and as they say the rest is history.
