That looks pretty awesome, reminds me of my 300 that had a chrome rolls royce grill that cost $700. I wonder what the cost would be to install that grill.
Thank you for the kind words! WOW that thing does look nice! I am so happy you decided to get install it. I think it really came out nice!First thing I gotta say, David at K5 Store is really a class act. I got this grill from the K5 store, came right away as he said it would all the way from Korea. My only delema, the color of the chrome inside was actually a bit tinted, like a brown semi tarnished look. I considered sending it back, but as we both discovered, sending it back would have cost so much it wasn't worth the loss, so I sat on it for about 2 weeks and finally got the wild hair to install it. Hot **** does it look sharp. Just wanted to say to David, thanks for communicating with me through this, and I'm sorry I was such a whinny b!tch, I should have just put this on 2 weeks ago!
Good to hear. Well if you have any tips or tricks you'd like to share with others, here is our thread for this product here on the site: http://www.cadenzaforum.com/forum/k...hrome-grille-replacement-k5-optima-store.htmlIt was really easy to install, didn't have to remove the whole bumper, just the side screws in the wheel well, pop out the sides, then everything on top, bumper pulled out and away enough to easily get all 10 screws out, swap, and done. Took about 70 minutes start to finish, I could probably do it in half the time now knowing where everything comes apart.

Thanks for the info and install notes. Sound pretty easy to do if the entire bumper doesn't have to come off.It was really easy to install, didn't have to remove the whole bumper, just the side screws in the wheel well, pop out the sides, then everything on top, bumper pulled out and away enough to easily get all 10 screws out, swap, and done. Total deal breaker. Sorry you got wrapped up with a product that doesn't match the description. In the sunlight the color is very apparent, it looks a little gold/bronze like.
David got hold of the distributor, and they confirmed the color was not a defect, but the intended. I truly expected silver chrome, and to not see that, I got cold feet. Now, sending it to the US must have been pretty cheap overall, but trying to send it back, was looking at almost $80 without insurance, plus I'd lose the initial shipping in the refund, so it wasn't worth any refund to give up that much money with no product in hand. I pondered it for the next two weeks, and decided it was worth at least trying it on the car, and I like it. Still not what I expected, but better looking then the stock grill.
Do you have any in stock? Can you confirm the discoloration is on all of them and it is to be expected? If so, the product description should note this defect since the description says chrome and I would expect chrome had I purchased one.Keep in mind standard shipping is used when ordering on eBay. We can offer $10 cheaper than the cost on eBay for the slow 2-3 weeks shipping time.
Otherwise for about $15 more we offer express shipping which takes about 3-4 days to be delivered. This is why the price difference FYI.
Huh?? Jeff you misread what he posted. Nothing doesn't match the description.Total deal breaker. Sorry you got wrapped up with a product that doesn't match the description.
No this will not be a stocking part for us. This part will be dropshipped from our supplier in Korea to keep costs down. Doesn't make sense to ship to us here in Cali, and then to have to ship to a customer on the east coast once they order from us.Do you have any in stock?
Again there is no defect or discoloration. The part is an authentic product made by Hyundai/Mobis for the Kia Cadenza and is sealed in original packaging from the factory. The product is chrome, and there are several pictures of the grille in our listing on the site. Can you confirm the discoloration is on all of them and it is to be expected? Thanks for the pics. I think Jeff misread your post regarding your thoughts on the color. The chrome has a slight gold hue to it, but I do not feel that the description is misleading in anyway. Most of the description info we listed comes straight from the manufacturer. Here's a close up of the goldish tint. To be honest, it actually looks pretty good. But agreed, would be a good idea to make note of the color in the description so people know before hand.
That's confusing. There is no discoloration, but then it has a slight gold hue to it.Again there is no defect or discoloration. Thank you for your input, again there is no discoloration. When a manufacture makes a product a certain way, and then a customer does not like the color, it does not mean the product is discolored or defective. Your comments would seem to imply this. That's confusing. There is no discoloration, but then it has a slight gold hue to it.
According to MadMax's comments, he considered sending it back due to the discoloration. On my black with chrome accents Cadenza I think that would look bad. That's my opinion and that would prevent me from buying it and I would consider a refund had I bought it.
Chrome is chrome, not chrome with a slight gold hue as you said. Does all chrome come with a slight gold hue to it? You guys are selling it, I just just suggesting a change if they all come like that, sealed from SK or not. You might have copied the description from the manufacturer, but now that you know there is a discoloration (at least on one) on a customers part, you could investigate to make sure people get what they buy. If the replacement badge you just sent me had a gold hue it would have been sent right back to you.
I have added a note to the product description indicating the slight gold hue to the color of the chrome grille. Thanks...
