August 18, 2015 my AC packed it in on a very hot day. Had it in the dealership the next day. They worked on it for hours and could not find the problem. Finally they said it was the air conditioning module but they would have to order the part. A few days they said. Well it took a month to get the part. 3 hours to install - had to take the dash board apart. Bad news - now they said the compressor was also bad and had to order the part. Another 2 weeks and they spent another 2 hours putting it in and finally my AC works just in time for the cold weather - Oct 1. I asked for a replacement car back in August but they said they would do that only if the car was not driveable. So I roasted through the end of the summer - really tough when it was raining and I could not roll the windows down. Having the 5 year warranty is great but the parts seem made of unobtainium! I love this car but it is so rare that parts appear to be a serious weakness.

Unfortunate to hear. :( sorry you went trough that.

Did you only deal with one dealership? I wonder if this is a common occurrence or if it varies depending on location.

Have you considered sharing your feedback with Kia support? I think they should know this since they don't promote the cadenza model.

The dealer's troubleshooting skills are definitely questionable. Do you have another KIA dealer in the vicinity?

I would record this number and get KIA in the loop next time:

Exactly what Max said. That is dismal customer service. I would have been on the phone with Kia before I took my keys back.
