Adaptive cruise

Any way to disable the adaptive part of the cruise control?? I don't like the car to apply the brakes for me.

There is. It's noted in the Features & Function Guide, but I've not yet used it. While cruise control is turned on, hold down the ACC distance setting button on the steering wheel. I think it beeps when it turns off.

Give it some time I set the car lengths to the least and I find it works very well although I do keep my foot ready and able to depress the brake if needed. I have found the function very precise and works well .I must admit it scares the crap out of my wife when im driving and she asks me if I have set the auto cruise thingy as she calls it
