Set to make its debut at the 2017 L.A. Auto Show, the Kia Sorento is getting a refresh with updated styling.

Full details on the updated SUV won’t be revealed until November 30, but the Korean automaker is already flaunting the three-row SUV’s off-road capability. As part of the unveiling later this week, Kiawill show off the updated Sorento taking on Moab’s treacherous Hell’s Revenge, considered one of the most challenging and obstacle-laden off-road trails in the world.

Even Kia acknowledges that most of Sorento owners will never take their SUVs to the extreme limit, but added that 'It’s nice to know that a weekend adventure off the beaten path is possible.'

Look for more information on the refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento later this week, as well as a video of the SUV taking on the six-and-a-half mile rock-crawling trek, including the ultimate obstacle known as Hell’s Gate.

I was just thinking my next car would be a SUV, thinking the GMC Acadia Denali was the way to go, but man, those things get up to $45k, and still only have a 3year/36k. I'd give a Sorento a look if it at least feels a little like the Cadenza inside...And I can wait another year or two for this to come out.
