Premium Sedan Adds More Style, Features and Amenities

  • 2015 Cadenza receives first-class enhancements
  • Advanced technology and safety features continue to earn Cadenza critical acclaim

IRVINE, Calif., July 30, 2014 – The 2015 Cadenza premium sedan continues to redefine the Kia brand with a number of enhancements designed to offer more luxury, technology and convenience for the new model year. Available in two trim levels, Premium and Limited, the Cadenza builds off the success it earned in 2014, when it was named the “International Car of the Year” by Road and Travel Magazine, by continuing to offer responsive and engaging driving dynamics and undeniable value wrapped in an eye-catching European-inspired design.
New for 2015, the Limited trim level receives feature and design enhancements starting with a new grille and fender garnish. Inside the driver-oriented cockpit, the Limited gets standard Flex Steer, Surround View Monitor that provides a nearly 360-degree overhead view of the vehicle for easier maneuvering and parking, new LED lighting elements, a new analogue clock design and additional chrome trim pieces.

All Cadenzas receive a standard eight-way power adjustable passenger seat to augment the available 12-way driver’s seat. The Technology package is enhanced for the 2015 model year with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, warning drivers of cross traffic when in reverse, and includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a radar-based Advanced Smart Cruise Control System, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning System, electronic parking brake, and water-repelling Hydrophobic front side windows for improved visibility during inclement weather, all of which are standard on the Cadenza Limited.

I wonder what Flex Steer is, and what the new LED lightning elements are. I bet they include the DRL in the front headlights that other markets get.

I don't see any changes in the press release image, looks the same as a 2014 to my eyes.

My understanding of Flex steer is that it allows for changing to steering feel - comfort, normal, sport. I believe the LED lighting is the interior dome and map lights. Would like the surround view camera setup! I just scraped my rim 7/4… that was painful.
Sounds like they're making it closer to what the 2015 K900 comes with.

The K900 has all LED everything with the exception of the reverse lights, which I've already swapped out. ;)
God **** it! Of course most of the things I didn't like about the car now are available. A big one being the 8 way passenger seat!

I would love the surround view monitor and rear cross traffic alert.

I wonder what flex steer is. They're probably using an old picture of the Cadenza.
@GizmoPDX It happens to the best of us! don't worry about it. If you didn't get the recall done, they will replace all rims for free. Boy was i glad because I needed new rims and a balance.
A good body shop will be able to replace the passenger seat with the new 8 way adj
a lot cheaper than buying a new car. That over head view would have been nice, can't replace that on the 2014

You don't need a body shop. That's something you can do on your driveway. I might have done it, if I wasn't leasing. Seats are really easy to replace. The overview monitor would be nice, but what ever. I also like the new wood near the window switches rather the beige plastic.
So... still no DRL and side fender vents? Those are some pretty important features on a luxury cars IMO..
Some of the pics on the main Kia website for the 2015 Cadenza show it with side fender vents. I personally am not a fan of them.
wood grain switch surrounds

I replaced the window switch surrounds with the wood grain surrounds . Got the surrounds that fit the cadenza with the white interior. purchased them from kia parts dept. and they are an exact fit. not that expensive

Where did you get the wood grain surrounds? i have been asking my dealer and looking for them. I saw a this one but looks like 2014 still. I still want the drl too for the spot in the headlight,

I ask the parts department at my dealership to look up the part numbers and order them for me, Told them I wanted the parts that go to a kia cadenza w/white interior KNALN4D72E5126168 and they got them for me.
I'll look to see if I still have the part numbers

These are the wood grain switch surrounds that come in the cadenza's with white interior. they are the same as the beige surrounds in beige interior
only wood grain.

You can see how to change the surrounds by going to www.kiatechinfo.com under service info select 2014 cadenza replace then door panels.
replacing the first one took me some time but the rest I did in just over 35 minutes.
Once screws were removed from the panel I just used a putty knife to start the panel when you can get your fingers under the edge it just pulls off. I used a small electric screw driver for the 13 screws on the switch. much faster
ok I'll look into it, thanks!
Pandora

I thought I read Pandora would be available on the 2015 model and also as an upgrade. How would Pandora be incorporated into the car? Right now I can stream Pandora via Bluetooth audio using my Iphone. It works fine and of course I'm using my data. Not sure what the difference would be??:|
Based on the photo on the mapnsoft website (2014 KIA Cadenza Map Update - Map Updates) , it looks like they added a Pandora portion to the "Media" button on the car. My guess is the 2015's will come with this version of the software standard, and we can pay to upgrade to it. How it works when you press the Pandora button, I have no idea - we'll have to wait and see after it is released and someone installs it.
Can anyone here provide any feedback on the Flex Steer on the Limited trim? It's hard to find anything about it in real world driving.
