2015 Kia Cadenza Emblems

Hi - I was wondering if anyone has had a good experience in purchasing the "K" emblems ? I have seen some mixed reviews and was looking for decent quality to replace the KIA logo. Thanks!

Your best bet is to work with David at K5OptimaStore...

Hello there, and welcome to the Cadenza Forum.

This is a great question and one we would be happy to help you out with. We are the North American Distributor of the 3.0 K Emblems. You are right about their being mixed reviews on the K emblems out there. This is because unfortunately like many other things out there in life, there are authentic K emblems being sold, and then there are knock off ones being sold for much cheaper. Most are not aware of the differences, therefore when a customer gets a cheaply made knockoff and it falls apart, they tend to leave a review of the product thinking it was the real thing.

We also carry the new "Black Edition" version that just came out earlier this year and already have (78) 5 star reviews on the product.

I was sooo close to pulling the trigger on new emblems as well, but I got to thinking about it. Although some fellow Kia owners would probably agree that they look pretty cool, I'm afraid that far more, including some Kia owners, would think I changed them because I was "ashamed" of driving a Kia. It does look a lot like the Lexus logo, which doesn't help. For this reason, i'm holding off.

It's not about what other people think, it's what you think. I think they look amazing, and for that reason they are on my car.

I agree. I have these on my K900 and love the attention it gets from others. Just today I had 3 different people stop me while I was sitting parked in the drivers seat waiting for my friend. They were all curious as to what kind of car it was except one guy. He knew and was like "is this the flagship model with Kia"?

I am not ashamed to drive a KIA, I just prefer the slicker looking logo.

Although a lot of people tell me the car itself looks like an AUDI and Lexus had a baby, but I still love it.

If I was ashamed, I'd shave the KIA logo out of the windows... I wonder how easy that'd be ;)

I'm definitely not knocking those that choose to switch emblems. My point is the perception that switching to an emblem that 99% of the US population doesn't recognize might suggest to some that the owner is trying to conceal the true manufacturer. Obviously, people who ask about it at gas stations don't know what it is, otherwise they wouldn't ask. I'd prefer that Kia just make the change worldwide, because it is far more distinctive than the US badge.

I get what you mean and agree they should just change the logo. Til then, I won't look at the stupid one we have in the US. I'll stick with the K logo that has people asking about my "Lexus" lol

Thanks everyone for the help. David at K5 was very helpful and accommodating. I even ordered some wrong emblems, and the return and refund process was very simple and easy thanks to his help. Definitely will buy again from him!

only gripe I have is 4 months old and the chrome is tarnished already on my rear emblem. Havent inspected them all. Might want to add a clear coat to them before installing

I've had mine from K5OS for a year now, and the chrome is flawless. Where did you get yours from?

Where did you order the emblems from? There is no need to have to clear coat the emblems if they are being manufactured correctly.

I thought I got them from the K5 Optima Store but not sure how to double check

about 99.9% i purchased from K5 Store

I found my receipt. Purchased on 10/19

If that's the case, why not contact us directly and reach out so we can address the issue? We are not having any problems with our emblems chipping, so I'd like to have you reach out to us so we can look further into this. Please send us an email to [email protected] with a picture or two so we can see what's going on.
