2014 Kia Cadenza Sedan Officially Unveiled
The South Korea-based automaker has officially revealed the 2014 Kia Cadenza Sedan at its global debut during this week at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. This new premium luxury sedan is better known as the Kia K7 in the Korean domestic market, where the sedan was first sold there since late last year as a 2013 model.
Under the hood, the 2014 Kia Cadenza is powered by a 3.3-liter GDI V6 engine that’s connected directly to a front-wheel-drive configuration and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Peak power output of the V6 engine is capable of developing up to 293 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 255 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. So, allowing the new mid-size sedan to create faster acceleration. The Korean-spec Cadenza has a top speed of 143 mph and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 7.2 seconds.
Outside, the new model is equipped with a LED taillights, dual exhaust system and ‘Tiger Nose’ front fascia with chrome trim touch. Moving into the cabin, this luxury sedan gets some premium equipment includes leather seats, GPS navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, UVO eServices, 8-inch touchscreen display and 12-speaker Infinity audio system.
The 2014 Kia Cadenza sedan is targeted directly to beat the 2013 Toyota Avalon in the U.S. midsize sedan market. Meanwhile, the new premium sedan will arrive in U.S. dealerships in the second quarter of this year and full pricing details will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
