Full Tank range

I was wanting to see what everyone has as a range on a full tank. Mine usually shows around high 300's to 410ish as a full tank. (Lots of city driving). I am assuming the range changes depending on my MPG's for the last few tanks. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

During the winter I will get lower mileage due to winter fuel blend. Last few years I've had to drive to school in the city as well so I'll get high 300s like you (390ish+). Summer time with about 50/50 city/highway I can get over 500 miles a tank. on the highway doing 60 (usually) I can maintain about 30mpg or so depending on how flat it is.

I think it's probably easier to ask what avg MPG is. Mine in city driving is 22, highway doing 75 is 30. Surprisingly on a 1200 mile trip on I 95 using only ethanol free fuel I averaged 32 at 75. Fuel tank range is a cumulative average of your driving so it changes based on your trip average.

I can usually only get around 360, but I mostly do city driving. My tank also only lets me put 16-16.5 gallons in instead of the normal 18.5 or so that itís rated to have.

Here are the details for my car: As I mentioned in post #9 of this thread https://www.cadenzaforum.com/forum/e...-question.html my car only allows for approximately 14.5 gallons during a "normal" fill up, unless I continue to fill after the automatic stop slowly to the top...which I do on a regular basis. Anyway, that allows for more than 4 additional gallons in my tank! That being said, I don't fill up until less than 50 miles are left on the tank and the fill up is usually around 19 gallons. So, on 19 gallons I average 25mpg with 30% city/ 70% highway @ 80mph and heavy traffic and kinda heavy foot. That will net me right around 485 to 510 miles per tank. On the occasional vacation type trip all highway I'll manage around 27.5mpg but that's as good as I ever get no matter how I drive or type of road.

I am a firm believer in every car should go at least 500 miles before needing any type of fuel...gas, diesel, recharge or what have you! Anything less is simply stupid and wasting my time.

2014 SXL, only mods are after market rims due to recall.

I'm gonna assume you mean 250-265 miles per tank, not per gallon. Couple things, there is city driving, then there sitting driving...in that these cars idle or extreme stop and go use a lot of gas. They make up for it a little once you get moving, but you gotta keep moving. Another thing, more a question, how much gas are you putting in when you fill up each time? usually when the warning get's serious about you being empty, 0 on the range meter, I can usually get around 16 gallons into an 18.whatever gallon tank. pushing it a bit I've gotten as much as 17 gallons in on a fillup, really tapped into that reserve. The point of my question, if you're only getting 14 gallons in, you're likely gassing up early, which would also contribute to your low miles per tank.
