Interesting...I'm gonna look into that myself. Not experiencing any issues, but I wonder if I could get a cleaner look at very least going this route instead of directly off the battery.

It's a cleaner look for sure, the wire can be routed to the under hood fuse box and tucked out of sight - from casually looking in the engine bay, you can't tell anything is there.
