Sumitomo Tires

Looking for tires for my 2014 Cadenza SXL --- 245/40 R19

Some folks have recommended "Sumitomo HTR Enhance LX"
Any experience/opinions on these?

Another option:
Firestone "Firehawk AS" on sale for about $620 OTD (with rebate coupon)
Any opinion on these?

Why not go to www.tirerack.com and see and see the ratings of those tires and others which might have a better rating.
appears Sumitomo at touring tires and firestowns are performance tires.

I have them on mine. I wouldn't recommend them. More road noise than the stock tires. It might be in my head, but they don't seem to grip quite as well either.

So over the years, I've been keeping a list of tires that were recommended:

Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 tires
Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires
Bridgstone Turanza Serenity Plus
Michelin Premier A/S

My question is have anyone ever purchased tires from tirerack and had them installed at a dealer?

That website offers a list of over 7,500 independent installers. Did you try searching through the list for a local installer? It may be cheaper than going to a dealer.

I have said this before but for those who encounter snow and heavy rains and don't want to have to change winter to summer, summer to winter buy tires that have the mountain logo on the side They are called all weather ( vs. all season which is really three season) . There are only a few brands that make them as of yet I went with the Finnish tire Nokian .This was my first winter with them and I had no problem handling hilly Vancouver and we got way more snow than usual. They are pricey but I swear by them. Besides snow and rain traction they are extreme;y quiet and when driving in rain the tread marks are dry which means they throw off a lot of water from the roadway. I'm not going to be cheap on when it comes to safety and the well-being of my wife and myself and or our Grandkids. I think I paid around $1600 last fall installed all in including sales tax from Kal Tires a large Canadian chain.
