Please tell me my Cadenza has a home link system

Finally moved to a house with a garage and wanted to be able to open the garage door from the car. I can't find anything in the owners manual regarding this. My 1999 Acura RL allows me to have 3 garage door openers programmed at once. Somebody help me out. I promise I made a valiant effort to read my owners manual.

I dont know what model you bought nor year .my 2016Cadenza Tech version has it and is built into the rear view mirror .Hrere is the owners manual instructions note "if equipped"

Make this adjustment before you
start driving and while the day/night
lever is in the day position.
Pull the day/night lever toward you to
reduce the glare from the headlights
of the vehicles behind you during
night driving.
Remember that you lose some
rearview clarity in the night position.
Electric chromic mirror (ECM)
with HomeLink® system and
compass( if Equipped )
Your vehicle may be equipped with a
Gentex Automatic-Dimming Mirror
with a Z-Nav® Electronic Compass
Display and an Integrated HomeLink®
Wireless Control System.
During nighttime driving, this feature
will automatically detect and reduce
rearview mirror glare while the compass
indicates the direction the vehicle
is pointed. The HomeLink®
Universal Transceiver allows you to
activate your garage door(s), electric
gate, home lighting, etc.
❈ HomeLink® is registered trademark
of Gentex

I suspect your model if the base model Homelink is not standard equipment.I made my decision on which model to purchase based on Kia's PDF brochure which has matrix showing which features are on each model

My '14 Premium with Lux has it. If you have ANYTHING other than the base Premium (at least on a '14) you should have it.

Funnyman and Sh30469,

Thank you both very much! I have the 2014 Premium. I was looking at the visor instead of the mirror. I will look for Homelink in my owners manual so I can get it set up.

Hope it is quick and easy.

I've never used this, for fear if someone broke into the car they could open the garage. Does it require the key or car on in order to open a programed garage door? or can you get in without a key and open the house?

As long as the car has power it should work.

So say for instance, I leave the car unlocked, someone can open the door for the garage without a key while it sits outside my house?

From My understanding, the car needs to be physically on and running in order for the home link to actually work

I haven't tried to do this without having my key in hand; but it definitely does work with the engine off as I always open the door first before starting my K900 and as I did on my Cadenza.

Without the key, I doubt it would work; will have to check sometime!

Glad you got it worked out.
