2014 Cadenza - Replacing OEM Tires!

My 2014 Cadenza Limited's tires have finally come to the end of the road, well one of them at least.

I have 52,500 miles on my car and just this past weekend I saw a bubble on the sidewall of my front passenger tire. Likely something to do with driving over crappy NYC roads recently.....

Either way, these tires have done their job and it's time for replacements.

Rather than getting the same crappy hankooks, I'm getting the Michelin Primacy MX4s from Sam's Club ~ $1,000 ordered and installed.

I'm still waiting on the delivery so I'll report back with my impression of the new tires (i'm looking for improved cabin noise and less road feel)

Good luck 2016 Cadenza 245 40 19 I have 1800 miles on my OEM tires and I replaced them with all weather ( not all 3 season) Nokian WR A4 rather than buying snow tires and changing them over every spring and fall . They are summer rated and winter r rated and they have the snowflake allowing them to be driven over mountain passes. They are Finish and built for their winter climate .Noise level is slightly lower than Hankook but traction on both wet and dry is far superior I had to use a slightly different size a tad smaller ( 255 35 19 than OEM here is the site https://www.nokiantyres.com/tyres/pa.../winter-tyres/ The cost in Canada was about 1700 all in including nonlead balancing purchased at Kal Tires

Wow, that's a long time to go on stock tires! I bought mine with about 10k miles on it, by about 20k I had enough of the stock, went with bridgestone serenity plus.

I've been putting off the recommendations from the dealer now for a while.

"sir you need to have your tires changed"

".....how many miles do you think I have left"

That's basically how the conversation went these past few months :P

I'm at Sam's Club now - they're being installed.

That's a dangerous game (or can be). That's what my brother did. Parents borrowed his vehicle and whole side of the tire blew out on them about 1hr away from home, had to go pick them up. He replaced all 4 tires that month lol. Be careful people, it's not just them wanting your money.

Yeah man, 3/32's with even wear, and you will feel them start to hydroplane in heavy rain braking or hard turning...and of course if you have uneven wear, you're due if you have a bald spot on a side. Also regular alignments are important. I go lifetime with Firestone, maybe once or twice a year I have them check the alignment with the rotation. Every time there's a minor adjustment with every car I've ever owned. I give my tires more attention then I give my wife! (J/K)

Of course our cars get more attention then our wives isn't that normal

Reminds me of when i went away to college. My mom was a great lady just not a great cook so When I went to the health clinic complaining that i wasn't getting indigestion Moral of the story check those **** tires

Mine has stock tires All season Hankook. I do not understand why the heck they are selling cars in Los Angeles with All Season tires!? They behave bad in hot whether, not good in winter and in rain! I have on 4400 miles so I do not want to buy new tires yet, but I will definitely replace them with Michelin summer tires.
