I purchased the exLED LED Rear Reflector 3 Way Upgrade Module some time ago, about 4 months ago. Link: http://www.exledshop.com/exled-custom-leds/kia/k7-cadenza-2013/2013-kia-k7-cadenza-exled-led-rear-reflector-3-way-upgrade-module-copy.html
I knew installation would be a bear, so I procrastinated, but finally got it done last weekend. Anyone interested in doing this, I HIGHLY recommend buying the version that is already assembled (I got the led module only). This meant I had to crack open the reflector module myself.
The reason this is a bear is that you have to remove the rear bumper - no other way to get the reflector off. I didn't have to get the bumper fully off, but enough so that I could reach inside to get to the bolts that hold on the reflector and the chrome trim piece. The chrome trim piece overlaps the reflector and has to come off to get the reflector out. Let me say that the chrome trim piece is held on by a whole lot of bolts - twice as much as I would think necessary.
Once the reflector is out, I used a dremel to cut into the reflector to get it open. There is a hole that is covered by a grommet and plastic cap that I enlarged to run the wires through (seems like KIA had anticipated this accessory?). Once in place, I sealed the reflector using an epoxy putty and did some sanding to smooth it out. It wasn't pretty, but thankfully the chrome trim piece hides most of the imperfections when put back into the car.
Then I spliced into the rear taillight for the connections and soldered and shrink wrapped them into place. In all, took me about 6 hours to do - again, if you get this, save yourself some trouble and get the pre-installed ones.
I am very happy with the module - I think it looks great and functions as advertised.
I'm toying with the idea of converting the rear turn signal bulb into a switchback reverse light - essentially using the rear turn signal light as an additional reverse light to the current one. exLED has a TPC module that can do this.
